guten tag! (update from Germany)

So here I am in Germany! I've been traveling for over a week now and thus far it's been a crazy adventure. I don't have much time to type the details (I'm using someone's laptop whom I barely know but seems nice enough) so here is a quick synopsis of the trip so far:

I flew into Vienna a week ago Wed. and somehow made it to a hotel where I met up with Lisa and her crew. We spent about 4 days in Vienna seeing the sights (Hapsburg palace, opera house, rathause, cathedral, crypt, Danube river, etc.) We got on two different night trains to Freiburg and arrived about 9 hours later. It was the worst train ride ever (more details to come later). Lisa took me to a European thermal bath which was the most amazing thing. Think a wonderful warm bath with all different types of jets, whirlpools, sauna, etc. I love the Bratwurst here and they have gelato cafes on every corner (called Eis Cafes). Lisa left on Wed. and I was really sad until yesterday, when I met some Americans who convinced me to stay a few extra days and travel with them! How cool. I am staying at the dorm where Lisa lived (renting a room for 25 euro a night that has its own bathroom, a sweet deal).
